In industrial environments where the electromagnetic environment is extremely complex, the stability of machine vision systems has always faced severe challenges. Industrial cameras, as the core components of machine vision systems, are the first to bear the brunt of application performance stability and reliability.
There are various forms of interference in the power supply of industrial sites. Except for the interruption of power supply, most of the interference is not easy to detect. However, it is this imperceptible interference that poses a serious threat to a functioning industrial camera, which further leads to problems with false triggering, frame dropping, stoppage, and even physical damage to the camera.

In general, we believe that solving the problem of electromagnetic stability of industrial cameras should consider two aspects: First, standardize the installation of industrial sites, and create a relatively "comfortable" electromagnetic environment for industrial cameras, such as avoiding the load of three-phase power supply. Unbalanced, the production line transmission device uses grounding protection, etc. Second, the industrial camera needs a special reliability design to improve the electromagnetic immunity of the equipment.
The reliability design of industrial cameras generally includes both hardware and software. In terms of hardware, firstly, the power port and signal port (including the data port and the control port) connected to the camera and the external device are added with a transient voltage suppression device or a protection circuit that meets the test level requirements according to the requirements of the electromagnetic immunity of the industrial device; Pay attention to the reasonable design of the grounding, such as the resistance-capacitance connection between the circuit board and the outer casing, the single-point connection between the analog ground and the digital ground, etc.; in terms of software, through the software watchdog and the bus activity detection mechanism, it can effectively detect the strong interference The resulting software error and bus connection problems, and can quickly complete the recovery; through the digital IO filtering function to effectively suppress camera false trigger caused by crosstalk pulses.

The technical difficulty of industrial camera reliability design mainly comes from two aspects: limited hardware design space and verification of design effects. Due to the miniaturization of industrial cameras, the difficulty of electromagnetic design is greatly improved. In addition, in a certain sense, electromagnetic design belongs to an experimental science, and a good design is perfected in continuous verification and modification, so the simulation industrial site The electromagnetic environment is very important for early experiments.
